History

Tahoe Dave’s Skis & Boards started in the fall of 1977 at the Henrikson building in Tahoe City. Since snowboarding wasn’t in the scene yet, the original name was Dave’s Ski Shop. Dave had a small room, 15 pair of skis, a workbench and an immense desire to “have a good time and stay out of jail.” (Which still applies today.) …And the rest is history.

What started out as a small one-man shop in Tahoe City has turned into six stores in five convenient locations, giving Tahoe Dave's the ability to offer rentals at any location, return at any location or exchange at any location program. Anything it takes to make renting convenient, easy and fun!
